I wholeheartedly agree and will also fight this legislation tooth and nail. I also agree with a flat national sales tax on non-neccessities and the elimination or serious reduction of the IRS. The capital gains tax should also be lowered greatly or eliminated. With all of the global competition we need to help American businesses flourish to better make them able to compete and not by funding them, just let them keep more of the money they earn. Our Dollar is sliding and we must effect change very soon, or it will be too late to save this great contry of ours.

I agree Ali. Internet taxation would be a disaster. That bill is doomed. I’m not even worried about it. The majority of dems will follow Bill Clinton’s opinion on this issue, and they will ultimately decide to reject the bill. I am curious though, what were they planning on using the money for?

I would encourage everyone to look at the bill if they are so enticed. There’s a cool site called Google - check it out!

I don’t plan on posting bills that are up under committee revising - that just ruins the debate like on the immigration deal.

Hey Ali, first off a word of advice from one blogger to another. When posting topics like this one, it is a good idea to include links to maybe the bill itself or to an article about the bill. That way it makes it clearer to the reader exactly what the bill is about.

I don’t know exactly what this bill includes but I am usually always against anything that causes an increase in government. That being said however, as a proponent of Alan Keyes and his idea of replacing the income tax with a national sales tax I am not completely sure how I stand on this issue.

I do make a substantial amount of purchases online however, but I do understand the burden it puts on tax revenues at the State and Local level.

That being said, as I mentioned earlier I don’t like anything that causes an increase in the already far too large government bureaucracy. So I will have to definitely look into this one.
